I've signed up for a new hosting service tonight, and I wanted to go ahead and switch the nameservers to have my site begin propogating to take off the new host. However, it seems like the nameservers are the same name as my old hosting, as in ns1.***.com and ns2.***.com (the IP's are different, obviously).
How exactly is this going to work since my old hosting is still active? I wasn't planning on canceling it for a couple more weeks at the earliest. This also puts me into a bind with a friend is sharing the resellers account with me. He was more adamant about switching over his site to the new hosting when his site would experience the least amount of traffic, but now that I've already signed up for the new service, I don't know what to expect with the nameservers being named the same.
Help!
