Ok, sorry to start one of these threads again, but I'm in a hurry (see my 9800 pro pics in sig). I need an in-stock card...
2 choices I know of...

BFG 6800GT OC
or
eVga 6800GT w/ free far cry (I have UK DVD version imported)

which one? or are there others in stock I dont know about?

I would go withthe BFG has they have a GREAT warrenty and support plus its OCed out of the factory.

well, the OC is very mild, I'd be oc'ing any card I get, I just know lifetime warranty is very comforting...especially with one of your vid card stock fan melts off...😕

Listen to me...
I'm talking about length of warrantys when I can't go one generation (not including refreshes ie 9800XT/5950) of cards without getting the newer ones.

If anyone cares...eVga with far cry...I'll have it tomorrow. Maybe I'll bench it against my 9800 pro and post...

as long as the 6in oscillating fan stays blowing into my open case 😀

try compusa, best buy, or fry's electronics
pricewatch has a good listing of them too, but still might be hard to find

btw 6800gt pops up 7 manufacturers
but out of them all i think the BFG looks like a good choice

I'd go with PNY cause they offer lifetime warranty 🙂

PNY offers a lifetime warrantee for the life of the card (about 1 or 2 years). BFGTech offers a lifetime warrantee for your lifetime. They will replace cards they no longer make with newer ones. Unless PNY has changed what they call a lifetime warrantee, I would go with BFG.

Edit: Plus BFGTech has been highly praised for it's customer support staff.

Ok, the eVga will be delivered today. I'm going to run benches next to 9800 pro and post.

Gonna run on BFV, UT04, RTCW, X2, Far Cry, and shadermark, aquamark, and 3dmark03
