Ah, I see, so the overpayment just makes sure that I have a $0.00 balance on my upcoming statement, rather than the one after that.
Not really a huge deal, my other cards don't have a balance, I just didn't want to have to change all my recurring monthly payments over to a different card. Sounds like that's the thing to do though, so I'll just let this one rot in a drawer for a few months after I pay it off.
