Ok so I cracked open some eggs to make scrambled eggs, but they kind of stink. I was mixing them in a cup, so I held it up and it only smelled a little. Then I smelled the shells and they stunk. The eggs look normal though.
Can I scramble them and not worry about anything?

are people really that stupid that they have to ask if it is ok to eat spoiled eggs??? They have to ASK random people on the internet?

Some people do not have the money you obviously have, and cannot afford to waste food.

If one cannot afford a dozen eggs then that person needs help. I rather pay the <$2 and not have to worry about getting sick.

Good point, I mean seriously.

I have been poor enough to need every scrap of food I can afford - you have to eat well if you work in construction - and I did not want any 'help' thank you very much.

So you rather take the chance of getting sick, and maybe missing work, than spending $2 for a dozen fresh eggs? Is $2 really that much to you? I understand if it was a semi-expensive item as I try to save every penny I can without endangering my well being (and maybe costing me more money in the end).

I dunno, I wouldn't have thought that hard about it at the time. Chances are I would have had to eat them as I never had any money past Monday, and i gotta eat.

I threw them out and my mom came home and asked where the eggs were. I said my sisters must have used them all when they made cookies 😀

Why didnt you just tell her they were rotten???

Probably because he's about age 12, and is afraid of mommy yelling at him that the eggs weren't rotten. 😉

This is how it went -
Mom: Why are almost all the eggs gone? Have you been eating them or were the girls making cookies?
(I cracked 5 of them to scramble, I don't know why I cracked them even though they stunk)
Me: Must have been the girls. I was going to eat them but they stunk.
Mom: So you scrambled them and didn't eat them?
Me: No I just didn't use any.
Mom: Well I guess it was the girls.

🙂

HUH? What happens when your mom asks the girls where the cookies are?

Mom: Hi girls. Where are the cookies you baked?
Girls: What cookies, mom?
Mom: The one you used the spoiled rotten eggs in.
Girls: We wanted to make cookies but powwka ate all the eggs.
Mom: <slaps powwka>

??

Oh, and maybe those eggs were just parked in a stinky refrigerator.
I think that was probably the problem.

Anyways, there were a few eggs left, and my sister used 3 of them to make more cookies, so I guess if they die then the eggs were bad.
