Quick - can I eat semi-rotten eggs?

Ok so I cracked open some eggs to make scrambled eggs, but they kind of stink. I was mixing them in a cup, so I held it up and it only smelled a little. Then I smelled the shells and they stunk. The eggs look normal though.
Can I scramble them and not worry about anything?

A good rule of thumb concerning food is if you have any doubts about something DON'T EAT IT!.

Go to the store and buy fresh eggs.

Well I might just be being paranoid. I have never smelled an eggshell before, so maybe they all stink. But I'm making a hamburger now instead.

be sure to cook it until there isn't any more pink. 😛

I checked the carton but I couldn't find a date. I swear we got them just this week though. The shells have little lines on them, I'll get a pic hang on...

are people really that stupid that they have to ask if it is ok to eat spoiled eggs??? They have to ASK random people on the internet?

I threw them out and my mom came home and asked where the eggs were. I said my sisters must have used them all when they made cookies 😀
