QUICK BF2 question

Is the only way to get the F2000 is to buy the expansion and unlock it?

Every time I pick up that kit I get like 5 kills before I go down (very rare for a nub like myself). Its so cheap but I want it!

So I was considering picking up the xpac tonight if that is the only way to get it. Do i need SF to unlock the 2nd set of weapon kits, even tho they are visible in regular BF2?

yep you need to have SF to get all those unlocks.

Anyway I bought it. And I'm playing tonight till I unlock the F2000.

Are you guys certain he needs SF? With the plain BF2 install, I can see the F2000 in the list of upgrades in the BFHQ.

Yeah I was a bit confused cause of seeing it in regular BF2, but I think they just tempt you lol. I believe all the "tier 2" unlocks are SF.

GD, I knew this was gonna happen. I tried playing but needed to re-apply the patch. I just had deleted the fvcking 300mb thing a few days ago. My internet is so slow its gona take over 2 hours to get it. I won't be getting the F2000 tonight unless I played godly with no unlocks and stayed up till 6am!

Ugh... and I thought I was going to be able to enjoy BF2 again after the changes in the patch (like killing bunny hopping)

I don't understand the thought process... Ok people have been playing for a while now and have developed some skills- now let's throw in a gun that any noob can pick up and blow up half the map all while half his attention is on his calculus homework! Woohoo!

its not that great and you can only use it on certain factions. its basically the m16 with a scope and full auto.

i haven't played bf2 in a long time...probably because it sucks.
