quick bf1942 question

if i have v. 1.61 installed can i still join servers that are on 1.6?

I havent played online in a while now, but back when it was a much earlier version number: No.
It had to be exactly the same.

i see, is there anyway to go down with having to uninstall and then reinstall?

Since you have already installed it, why don't you give it a try and see what happens.

i tried and it said failed to connect...i was wondering if that was the reason or if there was something else. lately i've been having problems connecting with servers.

If you have the 1.61 patch then you can only connect to 1.61 servers. The only to undo a patch is to uninstall the game, re-install and do not put the patch.

I think the latest bf42 patch is 1.61b. You have to install 1.61, then 1.61b in that order. Also, its a good idea to manually update your punkbuster the first time.......

The second to last patch was 1.6, the last patch was 1.61b or also refered to 1.61


You can get the patches at EA or here with our map pack. The map pack contains several great custom single/multi player maps. These are maps that we run on our server.
