I was just wondering, in benchmarking a hard drive using Sandra and HDTach, does it matter if:

a) it's partitioned, and if so, which partition to bench for most "real" results
b) how loaded it is with files
c) the drive's capacity (for instance, would a 60gb drive be slower than a 40gb drive in benches, assuming specs are the same?)

Thanks!

Hmm, what I do know is that the inner tracks of a hard drive are faster than the inner tracks. So a C: drive should be faster than a D: drive if they are on the same physical disk.
