Just installed this external hard drive, configured as RAID I for backup purposes with automatic backups set using Retrospect Express HD. However, I'm unclear on how to use/configure power.
Do I need to manually turn this thing on and off everytime I turn my PC on and off for the auto backups to work? Should I just leave it powered on all the time and set it to hibernate afgter a while using the Maxtor control panel settings? If I d the latter, will it automatically wake up during scheduled backups? I'm confused!
