ok heres the deal my am planning to build a high-end gaming pc around christmas holiday season my question is if the K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI and GeForce 6800 Ultra PCIX will be out by then. next question is can SLI board run with just 1 video card because i am planning to buy 1 video then upgrade and buy another one later. ok another question how much would that setup cost?. last question is when is halo 2 coming out for pc.

First thing first.... be at least slightly descriptive in your topic title/summary. Generic titles don't get many reads/replies usually.

Anywho, considering that Alienware is already selling machines sporting SLI, it wouldn't be surprising to see the boards and cards at least sparsely available by xmas. Yes, they are supposed to be able to run as a single card or two, for just such a purpose as future expansion/upgrading. It's gonna cost out the a$$. No clue on Halo 2.

they should all come out around the holidays, and yes, you can use 1 card and add another of the same card later on.
