good point, that is actually really dangerous. i've scared a bunch of people in parking lots.

Do you drive a Prius? I saw a red one today... it looked a lot better than black, which is the color I had originally wanted.

I love how people can't help but make stupid assumptions. I'm capable of thinking of my own questions. The purpose of a news story is to bring new information to people.

I am one person and can't think of all the questions people might have about hybrid vehicles so I was just asking for input since the people here are more technically inclined.

Therfore I'm not looking for any set number of questions. I just want to find out the reasons that really drive people to buy them and if they really know what they're getting. I don't care if you don't like hybirds so don't give me questions that will just piss off the hybrid owners, that gets me nowhere.

You'll find tons of hard data there. For instance, there's a subforum dedicated to keeping track of mileage. It's a friendly board and they'll be happy to answer any questions.

Cool, I have a question. Does Ford intend on making a hybrid Focus?

Def lots of info, I just spent 20 minutes looking around there.

Found a link to an article saying that Hybrids only accounted for 80,000 of the 17 million vehicles sold in the US last year, less than 1%

Kind of goes against my idea that people are running out to buy them

True, but I do belive hybrid numbers will continue to rise. Look at the new and upcoming hybrids on the way... There was also a recent article somewhere that predicts the % of hybrids by 2010; I'll try and find it for u.
