Questions for Graduating College Seniors

I'm graduating from Johns Hopkins in May with a chemistry major and a ~3.25 GPA (really tough major in a really tough school). I'm in the process of looking for a job...hopefully some good stuff will turn up during Spring Break for me. So far I haven't really found anything to my liking or fits my interests. Any other seniors here stressed about job hunting and graduation? I'm hoping I'm not the only one...

The current state of the economy isn't helping with it either.

Hoping someone here could offer me some tips or reassurance. 🙂

You're graduating from John Hopkins. You'll be ahead of everyone else that didn't. Think of it as a line, and you're near the front.
 
I'm actually graduating with a B.A. in chemistry (our school doesn't have a B.S. in this major but I doubt there's much of a difference). I'm interested in several things - medicinal/organic chemistry research, working in the industry, or even things that are completely unrelated... During the beginning of the year I thought it would be cool to teach chemistry or high school science though I'm afraid of working in a high-need or bad area (where all the recruiting seems to be going on). I also think it would be cool to do some sort of college residential life or counseling position - I've been involved as a resident advisor, peer counselor, and a teaching assistant and I really enjoy working with younger individuals. Sometimes I even fantasize about being a video game journalist or producer (fat chance of that happening).

Very Cool. Why not look for internships at a Pharmaceutical company? On the education front maybe look into masters programs?

You don't have to rush into a 9-5 just yet.

This. Do a non-thesis MS if you're not that committed. Doesn't cost much if you get a TA-ship and you should be able to finish it up within ~12 months.
