Hi,
I'm just about to send a hard drive to a friend of mine. I have Win98SE and she has Win98. I wanted to make the hard drive upgrade as painless as possible for her, so I thought I'd format and partition the drive for her.
Now.. If I partition and format with a Win98SE floppy, will she be able to install the OS off of that or will she have to go in and format/partition the drive again with a Win98 floppy?
I guess my question is this: Is the Win98 and Win98SE boot floppy interchangeable between versions of Win98?
I've seen a couple of things where a boot disk was specific to Win98SE and Win98 and I've seen other disks that claim to work for 95 and 98, but not SE.
Can anyone give me some certainty here on what will work?
TIA,
Sal
