I am definitly thinking about getting an ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon or a card like that so I can capture video from my TV ....

Couple of questions

1) How good is the quality??
2) How long are the cables??

1) How good is the quality??

Some factors control this...

cpu power will dictate what mode and size of video you can capture without detrimental frame loss...I have a 1.4tbird and I can do just about anything except at any size with less then 1 percent frame loss (worst case w/ other apps running)...

tv connection...cables, etc. If you have a good looking signal you can get decent looking near svcd quality...

Capturing through video in from tv may or may not be slightly better.

2) How long are the cables??

The all-in wonder should have built in tv tuner so capture driectly at computer cables are short ...only one from sound card to card...Now if you got the 64mb radeon vivo addition you would need to run svideo or rca composite cable to the system...
