So I registered a webstie at www.godaddy.com, and there fee was 7.99 all the way through checkout, than I go to paypal, and it says 19.89 :|

Is this just an add on one time fee thing? or is this there price every month now :|

Anyone else ever use www.godaddy.com?

watch out during the checkout process, and make sure you don't leave any optional services checked. Godaddy is annoying like that and I'm thinking about moving because of this.

Are they any good for hosting? there hosting packages are cheaper than my current ones, so I'm considering moving it over, but after this, not so sure any longer.

Check Telnap or Cernax first, they're AT owned and operated.

I only used GoDaddy as my registrar, then Cernax as my host.

I don't use them for hosting. I use http://www.hostgator.com "expensive" but reliable.

Godaddy hosting isn't really that cheap. If you want cheap, reliable hosting, go for 1and1. For anything above basic go with fdcservers.net.

1and1 = :thumbsdown:

You screwed up, they had something optional which was checked.

It should be $8.95 although they recently had a sale for $6.95/yr

HostPC.com and Telnap.com are good budget web hosts.

Personally I would get the SonataWeb.net WHT: Special Reseller #1 for $5.95/mo which allows you to host unlimited domains using 1 account. Or you can just host 1 domain, how you use your resources is totally up to you. You could host 5 of your own sites and charge 10 clients, it doesn't matter.

» HOST UNLIMITED DOMAINS
» Storage: 750 MB's
» Transfer: 14,000 MB's
» cPanel/WHM Access
» SonataWeb DNS Servers
» 18 cPanel Themes - RVSkins & XController Included.
» Fantastico Auto Installer
» 30 Day Money Back Guarantee
» 99.8% Uptime Guarantee
» $5.95 a Month

ive used 1and1 for over 2 years.....It has NEVER been down that I have seen, and always very reliable and FAST...Cheap as well! Ill have to give it a 10 out of 10 for what I use it for
