So I hooked everything up to my sr5003. I only have a 2.1 setup right now due to some space issues, but it's fine with me since I mainly enjoy music. Anyways, so i have my fronts hooked up to the appropriate channels and i have the subbed hooked up to the subwoofer preout.
Now, watching movies, and such (Hell Freezes Over DVD), I get sound out of the sub. But when I play games on my xbox or watch a dvd like....the simpsons, and satellite tv, I get no subwoofer thumpin love. Everything sounds great, ran the audyssey thing very accurately. But I'm assuming that it's only sending signals to the sub if the source has ".1" in there instead of filtering everything above a certain frequency from the original source.
Also, this might be why but when I run audyssey, it likes to put my speakers as large and put my bass settings to mixed with a cross over of 60hz. I forget if I get my sub sound back if I manually set my fronts to small and a cross over of 80hz. I'm just going by what audyssey thinks is correct (I've done it a lot of times to make sure and read guides from avs forums).
Need help if I screwed something up. Thanks ahead of time to the gurus.
