questions about geforce4ti 4600

Does anyone know how much this costs and how does it compare to the geforcefx 5700

Before I answer that, what is your price range, and are you going to buy Nvidia no matter what?

Also, what do you plan to use the card for? Gaming? If so, current games, or future DX9 games such as HL2, Doom 3, or even the current game, Halo (PC version)?

i plan to use the geforce4ti 4600 for halo and maybe half life 2 which i doubt would work, and for the price i just wanted a ballpark range

I don't know about price, but since you'll be running DX9 stuff, get the 5700

well, i know this may sound surprising but right now i have a piece of crap ati rage 16mb 4x agp card, and a buddy will give me his geforce4ti 4600 for $50.00 because he has a new card, to me that's a good deal

i'd take it for $50 in a heartbeat. worst case scenario you can resell for 130-150

but will this card run halo good, and say Mafia, because with my current card I've been stuck with games like frickin Rollercoaster Tycoon

Who cares?!?! $50, go buy it. I think the 4600 will be able to handle those games, maybe not at resolutions like 1024x768 with everything turned up, but for $50 its an awesome deal!

that's exatly what i said, one guy yesterday offered me a geforce4ti 4400 for $130 and it's worse than what i'm getting for $50

The Ti4600 will run Halo at 800x600 with all the effects cranked up (no AA\AF) and do a decent job. I think mine did ~40fps in the timedemo (with the 1.02 patch). Didn't really slow down at all. The only reason I replaced it was that it died.
