I am building a computer for my senior project and i was wondering what all of the numbers and codes stand for when you look at the description of a motherboard.

An example is:
CUV4X -C133MHz Socket 370
what the hell does all of this mean?
would this be a decent motherboard to purchase?
please help me!

CUV4X -C133MHz Socket 370

CU (just nomenclature)
V = Via Chipset, in this case Via Pro 133a
4X = 4x agp support
C = board designation in this case (microATX, 5 PCI, 1 AGP 4X, 2 DIMM) (from Asus
Site)
133Mhz = supported Front Side Bus Speed (FSB)
Socket 370 = referring to chip type supported in this case

(Intel Pentium® III 133MHz FSB, Coppermine core, FC-PGA
Intel Pentium® III 100MHz FSB, Coppermine core, FC-PGA
Intel CeleronTM 66MHz FSB, Mendocino core, PPGA
VIA Cyrix® III 133MHz FSB, PPGA) Also from Asus Site

heres a link to this board on Asus site...
