Because it's bloody annoying to have a retarded list of parts in your signature cluttering up the forums and nobody here really gives a rat's ass what kind of computer you have.

Go to Anandtech.com, find the My Anandtech link, and start there. When you're through, just put a link in your signature to the rigs.

AND another thing while I'm ragging: wrong forum. There, I said it. I feel better now.

You think people read that garbage? Hell no. They either skip over it or disable sigs entirely. System rigs used to be cool to swing your e-penis around like you're top dog, but it's gotten old and nobody cares anymore.

A lot of people read that "garbage." Especially in the other forums. Maybe not in OT, but in the other parts, yes it's read.

Just because you ATOTers don't care doesn't mean we shouldn't put it in. This is standard stuff to put in if you're at more advanced technical forums (i.e. DFI Street, XtremeSYstems). DFI Street makes you put it in in fact. How do people give you tech support when your rig is not clearly listed in there? It's just a way so people can help you quickly. It's not about e-penis wars. Calm down.

I would say it'd be almost as annoying as reading "wrong forum" cluttering up the forums 😛

Easy. You list it in the thread when you ask for help OR you simply do as I've suggested with the Anandtech System Rigs and link THAT to the thread - or keep it linked in your sig.

So there. It's not like you get ONE CHANCE to ever type in your system specs and that's it, or something.

Keeps the forums nice and clean, ya know? Most people have really really ugly ways of laying out their system rigs. I like signatures, but having a giant list of crap does little more than clutter and bloat the page layout 😛 System rigs are a great way to keep signatures tidy. 🙂

Holy crap. I can't believe I agree with Nik on something. I think Lucifer is trying to get the pilot relit, cats and dogs are together and the Sox won the world series. Oh wait.

Good thing the only people spouting off those two words are people like YOU who like to say I say that a lot, huh! 😛 With the EXTREMELY rare exception like this thread to explain to newbies, I never say those two words. All I do is link.

How about those who clutter their sigs with all kinds of junk, other than system rig specs? 😛

Morons? Actually, they contribute a lot to the forums. I think they are far from morons. 🙂
