[QUESTION] XBOX controller on PC

I am looking to get an XBOX controller to play some games on my PC. Question is do I need the "Play and Charge" kit for it to work properly?

It has a usb dongle that pairs with the 360 controller and up to 3 more regular wireless xbox 360 controllers.

I would just wait at this point for the wireless adapter to be released with the Xbox One controller.

I use a wired xbox 360 controller for a certain games and it was just plug and play. You do need to buy a dongle to use the wireless version I believe.

Thanks for the help, I ended up buying a used 360 wired controller for the time being.
