I have a VPN to my corporate network, and I use WindowsXP as my operating system, and VPN client.

In Win2k, when logging into your machine, you used to be able to login with a "dialup connection" or a VPN connection that would automatically connect when logging in under a specific user.
I don't see that on my machine and I can't seem to find where it would be.

I've looked through the help files, gpedit.msc, mmc.exe, and a few other places (including as simple as the control panel) but i can't find it. Does it not exist in WinXP or what??

Looking for some help from the always helpful AT community, as i'm at my wits end here ;)

Windows XP has its own setup utility for this. I have successfully set this up. I'm not at my home machine so I can give you some hints on where to go until I get home at 3pm today, then I can tell you exactly.

Network connections. Click on Icon to setup network. there is a path in there to setup a vpn connection. I will update this today just thought I would piont you in the right direction. sorry to post without details.

Thats cool.
I've actually already setup and am online with the VPN connection.

I just wish i could get it to connect automatically when logging in under a certain username (my local machine user profile). I used to be able to do this with Win2k. When you went to login to your machine, you could set the options to login "using a connection (that you selected)."
