Question: why the hell was half of Ohio in North Carolina last week?

Seriously. Every other car I'd see while vacationing last week had OHIO tags. Why the hell did they drive all the way down to Myrtle Beach for the week? Surely there are other (and nicer) beaches closer aren't there (mapquest says 662 miles from Columbus)? Some kind of exodus that I wasn't aware of?

haha Funny you should mention that. 3 car loads from Columbus that I know of just got back from Myrtle beach a week or so ago. I just got back from Greenville SC a month ago. Who knows. Pics from my trip

Nice beaches close to Ohio? Do you see where Ohio is located on a map?

You've never been to Ohio I take it?😀
Actually, I'm from MI so I understand the need to flee the boring expanse of whitebread middle-america that is Ohio. I just couldn't figure out why they drove so damn far. The NC outer banks are closer and MUCH nice than the Myrtle Beach area.

This is like the day that I saw nothing but plates from Texas on the Interstates around Birmingham, I was shocked and bewildered.

Pics? Or were you too busy throwing things at them and screaming obscenities? 😛

Myrtle Beach is good for stuff to do, but the beaches in NC are a lot nicer. I'm partial to Bald Head Island myself.

Well shouting obscenities at some, and others I was thinking nasty nasty nasty perverted thoughts about(one group of hot chicks). Most of the time I am too busy molesting children to get pics.

that's hilarious. I know two people from Ohio that go to Myrtle beach on a regular basis for vacationing. this is a mystery...

Ohio folk are lured in by the tourist traps that make Myrtle Beach the smut-town that it is. Ahh....with the Swamp Fox and the Pavillion you can't go wrong.

ohio-north carolina? what the hell is the differance?
and who cares?
nothing i can think of that would want me to be in either place.

"I just couldn't figure out why they drove so damn far."

LOL ! So why did you go even farther to get there ?

I know what you mean. We have a place at Cherry Grove and I always see tons of Ohio plates during the summer.
