Hey the Timothy McVeigh news bought this in my mind:

Why do killers and murderers get killed in such a humane way?

THey have all killed their victims in sadistic and inhuman methods.

Personally, I feel that Death Row Inmates should be killed the way they killed their victims.

Because they'll be dead afterwards. Why go back to ancient barbaric ways?

I feel the same way.....problem is that we have that whole no cruel and unusual punishment thing going on in the Constitution. If we tried to execute people in the same way they murdered someone the ACLU would be up in arms faster than you can say medicinal marijuana.

What is humane about being killed in any form? Can you not feel for this young man? He did only what he believed he needed to do.

And here I was under the impression that the death penalty was to prevent people from commiting further crimes, more of a punishment thing then a mechanism for revenge.
Guess I was wrong.

What a bunch of bull. I guess doing only what you believe you need to do is an excuse for ANYTHING?

Do you honestly want to tie him to a building and blow it up? Not only will that greatly increase the cost of execution but that is unconstitutional.

State sanctioned murder will not bring those victims back to life.

Oh my God now I get it. To think I actually felt bad for the 19 dead children and all the others when I really should be feeling bad for little ol Timothy. I mean he's only just a misguided ex-soldier who maybe went a little extreme. YA RIGHT.

shinerburke,

The irony is that all I've done is repeat, verbatim, platitudes mouthed by anti-death penalty liberals.

Why can't you feel bad for both?

lets see.... in the last ten years 11 people were PROVED innocent in a COURT OF LAW after being executed.

Hmm... if they were stabbed 38 times by a two inch pocket knife (since that is how "they" killed the victom) what would happen?

That would just add another victom to the list of victoms. You have to remember that the system is not flawless and the innocent ARE killed. "No Cruel and Unusual Punishment" is to protect those that might be innocent.

If the Gov't was going to kill me for a crime (I knew) I didn't commit (the stabbing for this case) I would rather be put to sleep via a needle then get stabbed by a dirty knife a bunch of times and then be left to bleed to death!
