Question: Running multiple software firewalls? Beneficial or waste of time?

Has anyone tried this? Works? Doesn't work?

I'm running ZoneAlarm Pro right now and i'm very happy with it. However, i've been able to come across AtGuard 3.22 and I was reading about it's features and it seems that it may offer some things that ZoneAlarm may not do.

So, are there any possible benefits from running multiple software firewalls or will they possibly clash/conflict with each other reducing any accrued benefits?

Thanks.

I would assume they'd conflict. Besides, one software firewall consumes enough system resources thank you very much.

well ZoneAlarm can defeat a port scan by simply making you appear offline. what more can you ask? what specifically was it you are after?

I originally ran Atguard v3.22 then I purchased BlackIce to stealth a port and tell me about certain types of attacks like TCP OS Finger Prints that Atguard didn't notice. They both cover each other now. I was looking at ZA but I didn't see where it blocked ICMP requests which can tell people you really are there even though all the ports are stealthed. BTW, ATguard and ZA work fine together.
