Question: RMA????

Ok, I just got an RMA for my KDS-7311. I just recived my replacement today.

This is the monitor I RMAed. Part number KDS-7311 Model nuber KD-1732

This is the monitor I recieved from them. Part number KDS-7311 Model number KD-1731

Now I just looked up online and found the specs on the monitor they sent me are slightly less!!!!

Are they allowed to do this?

technically not, they are supposed to exchange for the same item or better. but that does not always happen. call them up

Major problem, I called them back and they claim they has ve the sames specs.

In fact I own two KDS monitors

This old one:
Part number: KDS-7310 Model number KD-1731

And the one I RMAed
Part number: KDS-7311 Model number KD-1732

The replacement is a:
Part number KDS-7311 Model number KD-1731

I think they are scamming me. Model number KD-1731 should be part number KDS-7310, just like the one I already own. And those two monitors look exactly the same.

This looks like the old KDS monitor and the one they sent me.

This looks like the monitor I RMAed

Obviously a scam and a ripoff. Call the back and tell them if you don't get equal or better you are going to contact the BBB and sue them in small claims court. And to really top it off, tell them that you are going to let everybody at Anandtech know about their crummy business practices and nobody from AT will ever buy another product from them again.

Exact in those respects. The actual h/v frequencies are a bit better on the monitor you sent in. You could argue it from that point.
