ok, i have audio catalyst. i used to be able to rip a cd in a few minutes. however, i installed a new cdrw (tdk 24x10x40) and i can only rip in analog mode. cdrom--->soundcard--->then converted to digital.

it works but it is REALLY slow.....like real time slow.

i used to be able to chose either aspi mode, mscdex mode, or analog mode. now the first two arent even an option cause the program wont let me choose.

what am i doing wrong?? 🙁

That's precisely what analog is, realtime. It must be AudioCatalyst or a driver issue because as can be seen here, that drive does very well with DAE. Do you have ASPI version of at least 4.60 installed? Try a google search and find ForceASPI 1.7 to install these and aspichk.exe to see if they're installed correctly. You could also try using a different DAE program such as EAC (my personal favorite) and CDex.

ok, so i went to adaptecs site and i installed 4.7....so now my aspichk reads

ASPI32.SYS 4.7
WOWPOST.EXE 4.6
WINASPI.DLL 4.6
WNASPI32.DLL 4.7

i still cant use aspi on audio catalyst!! should i reinstall? did i do something wrong?? 🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁
