I have a laptop and a desktop, the laptop has a normal db9 video output (It is a Inspiron 700m) and the desktop has a DVI output.

I currently have both plugged into a KVM switch to a CRT, I am considering upgrading to a LCD (Specifically the 1905FP) but I need to be able to easily switch between the DB9 for my laptop and DVI for my desktop.

If I plug my desktop into the DVI and my laptop into the DB9 and use my KVM to switch my mouse and keyboard is there an easy way to switch the monitor between using the analog and digital inputs?

If not does anyone know of a LCD that does do this?

Thanks!

Great thank you!

I have been searching these forums and it seems that people have some very different experiences with this monitor... so now I am not sure... lol

Does switching between the two displays cause any issues for you and have you personally noticed any ghosting?

Well you wont notice ghosting except in games, and moving something such as a white box around a black background or something.

Switching between the 2 displays is wonderful. All you do is plug it in. I died in a round of CS, switched to my other computer, and was messing around there while i waited.

The next big step is split screen i guess :) :) :)

Thank you again! I have a samsung 17" lcd at work, maybe I will mess around with it and see how sensitive I am to ghosting.
