Question Regarding Scam

I just received an email with the following message. I have not booked any airline tickets, and nothing has been charged to my credit card(s), so I am guessing it is some sort of a scam. What I can't figure out is how the scam is supposed to work.

Do they expect me to email back to them and then they ask for my credit card info to process a credit?

Update #1

My credit card(s) have not been jacked, and I do not have a US Airways account, so that can't be compromised.

There was a ticket.zip file attached, I scanned that for virus with no result, but I'm not going to open it.

I decided to experiment with this scammer, so I created a throwaway email address and then made like I was replying to the email they sent me. I will see if they now respond looking for credit card info.

Update #2

Well the email came back undeliverable, so it looks like it isn't a scam.

I opened the attached "Ticket.zip" file on my blackberry and it turns out it had a "ticket.exe" file in the zip. I'm sure it must be a virus.

Damn, I was really hoping it was a scam so I could string along the scammer with a bunch of teasing emails.

They're looking for a reply. Or they're just hunting for e-mail addresses and if you respond back they know they've got an active account.

LOL. I love how they mention the new "Buy airplane ticket Online" service like it's something completely novel for an airline website or something...

Maybe they expect you to reply "I never ordered a plane ticket! I want a refund!", to which they reply "OK. What credit card number would you like us to put the refund on?".

It also says
To use your ticket, simply print it on a color printed
I love the grammar they use in these emails. It's so fun to read.

Then again it reminds me of some people I talk to on a regular basis at work/school....

Since it's already paid for, print your ticket out and bring it to the airport terminal and see if they let you on. :p

So it doesn't have a malicious link and you login and it is a scam site you're logging in that asks for info perhaps?

That's the only thing I can think of other than your CC being jacked.
