I have the ram mentioned above and I am looking at getting a 3500+ 939 AMD64 chip and an ASUS A8V v.2.0 board.

My dilema is that I have had this ram for over a year and 3 months and I have a feeling that I should sell it and get something else. I have read all over the place but mixed reviews. I want a reasonable 1GB dual channel matched ram pack.

Please advice!

PS how is the board and chip I picked

Note: I am going to overclock this by at least 200mhz

I don't know what ram you currently have, but I would suggest you try it first. I use generic pc3500, and it runs up to 480 with just 2.6 volts. Sometimes, people spend alot of money on premium stuff and don't get the results they expected, especially when overclocking.

I have that mobo and cpu. I also have 1GB Ballistix PC3200. Currently at 250Mhz @2.5-3-3-10-1T. HTTx4. 2.8v. Very fast. Cpu only at 2375 (9.5x) . Haven't tried higher, yet. I'd say try the memory you have first, though. You might be satisfied.

Good luck.
