Question regarding game controllers...

I was just wondering if it is possible to hook up two controllers to your computer for two player sport games and the like. If so how is it done and is it only possible with USB controllers?

Lastly, does anyone have any suggestions for inexpensive controls and a joystick?

I've seen y-adapters for standard game ports, but I've never actually used one..

alot of game pads have extra adaptors on them that allow you to chain them together, like the MS Sidewinder and most Gravis ones do too I think(my Xterminator has an adaptor on it as well as my Sidewinder has a small plastic cap over the end of another connector on the end of the controller).

You don't just need to use USB.
