Some dude almost suckered me into buying this Kodak digital camera for $499. supposedly you can take it to places like CVS to get it developed and you can transfer it to your PC. This is exactly what I want, but for $499?!?!?!

Anyways, he said what you do is take the memory card to cvs, rite aid, etc?and they can develop it for u. is this true?
If so, then I mind as well find something more suitable for my needs. Something cheaper for sure!

I print my images at walmart for $.29 for 4x6, $1.50 for 5x7, and $4.00 for 8x10. I burn my pictures to a cd and then take them in. I have the pictures in under an hour. Very good pictures(assuming they have the fuji equipment at your local walmart)

Wait...so I can burn them myself and then take them in to get them printed on paper?

My gf wants "hard copies" and I just want them digitally. We're heading to disneyworld for xmas so I need one soon!

If you have a cd burner(or even a floppy disk or a zip disk) you can take your images to a Walmart with a digital printing lab and have them printed there.

Any digital camera will let you download your images to your computer. From there you can put it on some sort of removable media(CDR, floppy, zip, ect). Walmart takes those for sure. You can also dump off your memory cards from the camera, but I'd rather leave a $.25 CDR than an $80 128 CF card.

Yea im checking out walmart and target now. im very impress!!!

but at $.26 each and say you have 36 that would cost more than conventional printing via roll. then again you choose what you wanna print

I've never seen anywhere that will take your camera's memory (Smartmedia, Compactflash etc) and turn it into photos. I wouldn't trust Walmart with a 128 Smartmedia anyway!!! But they will make prints if you bring them digital pictures on CD... Also, Kodak runs a website called Ofoto that does the same thing online. Just upload your pictures, and choose the ones you want and the size you want, and they will mail them to you. I have had a lot of success with this.

Yes, but you can pick and choose, and you don't have to buy the film either, which can be expensive as well.
