Law enforcement, and judges have easy access to your records, and can pull them at a moments notice. However they are not supposed to use it against you after a given amount of time, YEAH, RIGHT!Originally posted by: BoomerD
MOST simple background checks won't find juvenile records once she turns 18, but many "in-depth" checks will still find them even with a state expungement.* This is TRUE.* SOME records never actually go away, even though you may be told they do, * FALSE, ALL criminal/arrest records are permanent, PERIOD.* however, they're not generally available to the general public.* Given, time, money, and connections, ANYONE can look at your record, after all, they are, PUBLIC records.*
Case in point: not long ago I was pulled over for a minor traffic infraction in Va. When asked by the officer if I had ever been arrested, I said no. After a couple of minutes in his patrol car with my drivers license, he came back to my car and said, You lied to me Mr. Runz, you were, in fact arrested in Ca. 1974, for possession of a destructive devise,(fireworks).
Needless to say, things went downhill after that.
