The technical support people in our IT department seem to be of the opinion that there are NO compatibility issues that can arise from/when using different CD writing software programs, i.e. Adaptec, Nero, IBM Record Now, etc., etc.

Are they correct ?

Thanks.

No, what I mean is that they will have one brand of writer software on one group of workstations, then when they buy another batch of workstations, they may come with another brand of writer software. Then, they are doing archiving of certain client data from one of our software applications at all of the different office/locations (multi-state) and they are saying that the fact that these archivings are being done by different CD writer softwares will not present any compatibility issues.

Well I have never experienced that problem because I have never created it....I have used only Nero in recent years...however....If you were to go to both Nero and Roxie websites I'm sure you would get a different answer to that question based up there troubleshooting hints.
