Question: Passing DHCP to another, hardwired router

I have 2 buildings, one has a modem and router. I have run 250ft of Cat 5e under the ground (piped) to the second building. I want to setup another (or extend) the wireless into the second building.

I am thinking to do this, I would like to hook up a second router (building 2, through the 250ft cable), connected to a LAN port on the first router.

The problem (I think) would then be DCHP assignment, and it would not work. Does anyone know how I can set this up successfully?

Thanks in advance,
Max

Use LAN port to LAN port and disable dhcp on second ap/router. That way they're on same network and only one of them is doing dhcp.

Agreed, don't use the 'router' portion. Use it like an access point. There is tons of information on the web about using a 'router' as and access point.
