Question on tires

I just looked up what this "certificates" you all were talking about. Just ran a set of tires for my tundra. Discount tire wants and extra $45 per tire for a road hazard? lol.
This is baked into the $20/tire install at sams club.

Haven't looked at Sam's club but the Costco road hazard which is included is prorated based on the remaining tread. The certificates are not prorated, you get full refund for up to 3 years or 3/32" tread remaining. Whether that makes it worth it is up to you. Probably not.

Ahh, yeah the sams coverage is prorated. Still, that is pretty pricey for full coverage. over the years I have had many fixable punctures where the road hazzard was worth it, only one they refused to repair.

Or the tire price if you buy from tirerack.com

I had a friend that blew his AWD in a ~2004 STI due to badly mismatched tires, so it can happen, or at least could back in the day. I will say all of my Subarus have worn the tires extremely evenly, even my older ones before I was good about rotating the tires regularly.

I always buy from Tire Rack because I like Continentals and almost no one sells them locally. Then I get them installed on my local Tires Plus location for less than they charge to install tires bought from them.

I personally thought the original tires on my 2014 Forester were terrible and replaced them @ 40K with a fair amount of life left. Worst tires I've ever had. (Yakima Geolanders)
