Intel (Hawaii) RAMBUS Motherboard with Integrated LAN and Audio R2

I have had this Motherboard for a while now close to 4 years. I am unable to find anymore support for this mobo, and can't find any downloads for updating the BIOS. But the main Issue I am having is I just recently purchased an Adaptec RAID SCSI 2100S PCI controller that I put in my machine. I created a RAID 0 with 2 SCSI hard drives and installed my WinXP onto my machine. The initial setup goes well and I have no issues, but the very second that I install some additional software, and I reboot, after I reboot the computer doesn't find boot files for Windows XP and all I get is a black screen.

My initial thought was I needed to update the Firmware on the Raid Controller, so I did that. I was unable to find an updated BIOS for my MOBO, and I was wondering if anyone could help me locate this. Also If anyone has any ideas on what would be causing this to occur that would help also. I have the Drives Terminated, and the SCSI ID I have the 2 SCSI hard drives installed and the first hard drive is ID 0 second hard drive is ID 1. Hopefully someone can throw me a bone with any ideas, or any kind of suggestion will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Has it been sitting around, and have you just resurrected it? If it has been laying around, then maybe your hard drive is bad. If it has not been laying around, the hard drive might have just gone bad, but other than that I do not know. Are the hard drives connecting through the controller card?

No this machine was actually in use before. I had been running Windows 2000 on it previously, but then I bought WinXP for a upgrade OS. Before I had only 1 hard drive so was not using any kind of RAID. But I just recently bought this RAID Controller Adaptec 2100S and also another hard drive that was similar to the one I was using before. The hard drives are IBM Ultrastar Model: DDYS-T18350 - - - - - I don't believe the hard drives are bad because I was using them with my Adaptec 29160 SCSI card without any issues. But now that I switched over to this RAID Controller on this MOBO using WindowsXP is when It started not working.

I have a feeling it is with my MOBO BIOS but not for sure, because the RAID controller lights flash in a pattern that I looked and it mentioned that pattern as a conflict with the MOBO BIOS and I should upgrade it. But I really don't know where to find the MOBO BIOS upgrade since the MOBO is 4 years old.

Yeah it is a Gateway machine, and I think that might be the best thing I can find for a BIOS upgrade. I will give that a shot to see if it helps it out.

thanks You been really helpful :)
