question on setting up a new router

I have a siemens 2604 router networked to 2 computers through a dsl line. I can't get my battlecom program working through the special app. feature or through dmz. I want to try a linksys router.
My concern is, can I just unhook the siemens and set up the linksys?? I'm just wondering if there could be any conflicts when switching routers.

As long as you configure the linksys properly you will have no problems.
