Question on Religion

Can anyone tell me if Adam and Eve were married? Was there a Wedding?

Was God the Minister? Did God issue the marriage license?

Flower girls? How about paper bells? 😕

Good question.

Answer? No, since marriage is a human social thing, and there would have been no society then.

You would have had to have read all of the first two chapters of the bible to figure out the answer to this question. Each one is about a page long.
The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

wife? Is that Eve or Lilith?

What I want to know is whether they had sex before the serpent/apple. Becuase you have this phallic thing offering "knowledge", and it seems like the implication is that what they did that pissed off God so bad was boning each other. Or am I totally off here?

I might be a hevenistic bastard but I do know there was a women before Eve.
It was Lilith. Adam got rid of her because she demanded to be treated as a equal.

I think you're on to some symbolism here. When we gain experience and knowledge we sometimes lose our innocence, as in losing our virginity.

Genesis 3:20
Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.

Are you people incapable of reading on your own?

She's not in the christian bible without making assumptions, therefore I don't believe it

OK so if you are saying they were married, who married them?[/quote]

Who says you need a third party to perform a marriage ceremony? And don't say "it's in the bible", because you obviously haven't read it.

So that means you don't need the state or a minister to be legally married?
I did read it but it's been a long time ago and I keep hearing conflicting stories to what I thought God meant
