Question on refurbed newegg processors

Seems like its rare that any of the refurbed newegg processors are in stock. I've hardly ever seen them in stock, the only few times I've seen them is early in the morning.

The answer to the question is "no".

There is a refurb Athlon 64 FX51 in stock right now for the low, low price of $580. Regular OEM price is $734.

Becareful of newegg anymore. To make a long story short. I bought some newegg refurb MB's, they were defective.
I returned them by using new egg's online rma form. I checked to see if there were anymore boards in the refurb section, there weren't, before i sent them back .
I was hit with a 15% restocking fee BeCareful!!!!

Newegg is supposed to start posting their refurbs later in the day. I read where it is about 3pm Pacific time. I just got thru ordering and rma'ing an XP2400+ refurb from Newegg. Newegg authorized it for return. I chose to get it authorized for return to AMD and sent it there. I got lucky and AMD honored the warranty.

Newegg publishes that they do not test processors sold as refurbished. Be aware that you may receive inoperative goods. Newegg makes you click through 488 acknowledgements to the fact before you can actually order the item.

I doubt I order a refurb anything again. On the other hand, I wound up with a better processor than the one I ordered. I had no garantees that was going to happen.

Think of it as an adventure or a nightmare depending on how it finally turns out.😀

If you get defective goods, weather refurb or not, call Newegg. They will waive the restocking fee without question. If you pay a restockong fee on defective goods return then it's your fault for being stoopid. 🙁

Well, RobCur, don't tell that to a couple of refurb motherboards I got from Newegg over a year ago. They're still working perfectly today.

Really, there's nothing wrong with Newegg refurbs.
