Question on RAM

In adding another stick of 512 memory to my dell. Does it really matter what brand of memory I use as long as it matches in pc2700 with a 2.5 case latency?

No, it shouldn't matter.

I agree that it "Shouldn't" matter, but to be on the safe side I would get the same brand, and another stick of the same memory !!!

well if you're concerned about working in dual-channel, then your system will work dual channel, though it'll work only as fast as the slower stick.
