Not only should my 6800GT get here this week, but next week my new Dell 2005FPW Widescreen flat panel should arrive too. Merry Christmas to me!

Anyways, I have two questions....

1) I currently have a 17.4" Flat panel that does 1280x1024, it supports two computers, but only has standard 15pin VGA input, no DVI, I assume that I can run this monitor off the VGA port on the 6800GT in conjunction with my new 2005FPW on the DVI input for a dual screen setup?

2) This will be the first time I have had a DVI monitor, all my recent video cards have supported DVI, just didn't have anything to plug them into. ;) What are the advantages of DVI (Yes I know it's digital). I mean (and my memory could be failing me here) I thought I had read in the early days that the old analog connections gave you better color, etc.... Was this just for CRT's, or am I having a senior moment?

Thanks!

So know have a 6800GT and a new Dell widescreen setup to help?

Anyways, it's in Production right now according to their website with an expected arrival date on my doorstep of December 27th. :D

I guess, I'll know soon enough!

1)yep correct. will have to enable dual screen in the Nvidia driver screen though

2)Digital from what I heard carries more information and supposedly is a lot better for LCDs. unfortunatly my computer refuses to let me use DVI so im stuck on analog till I can get a new one in jan :(
