You all want the truth...

Global Warming is a Red Herring designed to keep the people of Africa poor.

Human Global warming is a myth, the earth has cycles.

There is insufficient data and understanding of all the climate mechanisms to make that claim or the claim that global warming is a solely a man initiated event.

I lean to the position that the current warming trend is part of a natural cycle that may have been sped up by human activities. Curtailing emissions is a good idea all around imo but running around like chicken little saying we are all doomed is ridiculous and unproductive. Also, the way that most of the strongly pro-man made global warming people shout down ANYONE who does not 100% agree with them isn't right or mature.

Maybe by saying it's a really serious thing is the only way to make sure that anything gets done. If it was "marketed" as a minor thing, it'd be quickly swept aside. Long term problems are difficult enough for policymakers to deal with without getting the voters all impatient. Long term problems that are viewed as minor, but expensive, have no chance of getting anywhere. If it's marketed as being REALLY severe, then it might receive at least a small amount of consideration.

I prefer to err on the side of caution here. We are digging up carbon dioxide that was sealed up millions of years ago, and releasing it into the atmosphere. This is unnatural. Nature has had time to acclimate to volcanoes and fires. We're now adding a steady supply of CO2 emissions that aren't supposed to be there.
Maybe the climate change is part of a natural cycle. It still could pose a threat to the way we go about our little lives, and make things a bit less comfortable for us. I don't think it's going to be a doomsday thing; maybe it'd be more like just having more freak weather occurrences, more "record breaking highs/lows" and such phenomena like that.

Why not just be greener even if you dont believe in global warming. Take care of your planet which is where everyone lives..

I am sure we were meant to breathe in massive amounts of Co2 that we put into the atmosphere.... Its only natural
