Question on FS topic

I make Wooden Pens, can I sell/trade them here?

It is a hobby, so I don't consider myself a dealer. But I wanted to clear it before being thrown to the Wolves over in FS/FT.

Wow, good lookin' pens! I'd be interested in some general info as well.

As far as selling them here goes, my gut tells me that you wouldn't really be able to post about them. You could always offer them to someone in full/partial trade, but since you make them yourself, I'd say it falls under a combination of the "No services" and "dealers" rules (imho) and hence wouldn't be allowed as a FS/T post. So long as people "know" that you're the pen person, we can shuffle potential business your way via PM/email and nothing (to my knowledge) is keeping you from contacting folks that you hear might be interested.

Me as well, sweet looking pens, maybe you could throw in 100 or so on our trade

I would guess that as long as you dont take orders (the pen is made before you offer it for sale, so you wouldnt be offering a service) and you were selling just 1-2 at a time, and not trying to make bulk sales for a re-sale type of thing it would be allowed.

I would consider it the same as a guy buying cases and painting them or something, then re-selling for a small profit.

I appreciate the interest.

It is so cool to have something to hold onto after working.
Comptuers/networks don't leave you with much at the end of the day.

I make a pen and go in the house to show it to my wife, who is now genuinly interested in what I am doing (since it does not invole the comptuer)
