I have the following:
CPU: AMD 4400+ X2
MOBO: BIOSTAR TForce TF7025-M2 AM2
CPU FAN: Tuniq Tower 120
VIDEO CARD: AMD 4870
PSU: Silverstone OP 650
Case is open
120 mm fan as exhaust
120 mm fan as intake
Ambient room temperature is probably 70-80 degrees F
I am considering OCing my 4400+, but I have no idea which program is correct for monitoring CPU temperatures.
So far, I've looked at Rightmark, Core Temp, Speed Fan, and the CPU temperature outputted in my mobo's BIOS.
At idle, Rightmark and Core Temp are saying 10' C for CPU core temperature.
Speed Fan also has 10' C for "Core" temp, but has two "Temp1" temperatures showing 20'C and 48'C (don't know if this relates in anyway to CPU temperature).
My mobo BIOS is showing 50' C.
Cool N' Quiet should be disabled in BIOS and Windows XP power configuration is set to "Always On."
Other thing that confuses me is that an idle temp of 10' C seems too low to me. Anyone able to advise what is supposed to be the expected idle temperature and which temperature monitoring program is trustworthy? Thanks.
