Question on artifacts

both, but I've notice "speckles" of the wrong color when my core is overclocked a bit too much of too hot, and checkerboard patterns when the ram is on the raged edge.

so changes are if I overclocked the core only 15 MHz, and the memory 25, any microscopic white dots im seeing are prolly just my mind?

No, it very likely is artifacts, unless of course your vision suddenly went haywire. Some cards are just naturally horrible overclockers.

Try to adjust one thing at a time when overclocking. See how high the core goes without artifacts. Then see how high the memory goes. If you do both at the same time harder to tell what's causing the artifacts. Then put them both up and check. Sometimes when both are raised you can't go as high as when you only do one.
