Question on apple processor

Its good enough for running Office and the "i" stuff. It must be better than the G4 500 boxes that I use for misc testing. If you didn't need an ibook I'd say get a eMac. The G4 1Ghz is around $600-700 in edu and clearance.

Dannybin, Vian doesn't kid. Hell, he doesn't even overclock. But, to give him a little credit, he didn't say "1.5-1.8 Intel P4"!! Just about anything on earth is faster than a 1.8 Celeryon, so...

Well, supposedly Apple MHz are equal to double PC MHz. I heard that somewhere and benchmarks are almost accurate but idk if it with dual apple against single pc chip or single vs single.

Wrong ridiculous! Especially for the G3! It doesn't even have any SIMD instructions. It's dinosaur from the P2 era. It's equiv to a 1-1.1ghz P3 tops.

Oh, well, I guess I'll have to stay out of Apple conversations. I apologize. It's alright thou cause Apple sucks. Both iPod incidents really cripple any trust. And they are not going anywhere because they just keep marketing themselves that they rule in photo shop.

I don't know about you guys, but I always say "I'd rather own a Corvette that I can drive on any road in America, than a Ferrari that can only use 5% of the available roads..."
