question on A64 cpu system

I just bought a new AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Retail and CHAINTECH VNF3-250 motherboard that should be here tomorrow. I am pretty experienced in replacing all components and also with socket A. This is my first experience putting together an A64 system. Is there anything I should do different than setting up a socket A system? I also see on the MB thats theres a plastic guard around the cpu socket, does the heatsink/fan mount onto this? I plan on reading all instructions carefully that come with CPU & MB and would appreciate any tips or things to look out for in setting this up. Thank you for your assistance.

No there is hardly anything different
Yes that is what it is for

Its easier than socket A don't worry

It IS much easier then a Socket A system! There is a bracket on the back of the board with two screws going through. You simply screw the fan adapter into the bracket and snap the fan in. Easy as pie.
