question of microdrive

Hi,

I have heard about microdrive, but never used it. Is it compatible with laptops? I mean how to use it? Which port does it use? The same PCI port as we use the wireless card? 🙂 Thanks.

It's CF format. To use in a notebook PC, you put the microdrive in a CF PCMCIA adapter. IBM provides one with the 1GB microdrive. To read in a PC use a USB compact flash reader.

We have one for out ditital camera, if you get a Compact Flash PCMCIA card reader you can then use if as a hard drive in the laptop. the only thing is im not sure how fast it would be they dont spin that fast.
