my 1.1ghz came with the stock hsf. i dont plan on overclocking do you think i should still buy like an alpha pal or globalwin? im gonna have 2 80mm quiet sunon fans. im kinda pressed for money. and not sure its worth pushing harder for a 25 dollar fan

yes you are going to need a better cooling solution.
no offense, but it amazes me that some people will spend big bucks
for a processor, but cringe at spending a few dollars more
to keep it cool and stable.

Severance.

no. if you do a search you will see that i had various cooling problems w/ my 1 ghz t-bird (axia) stepping. here's what i finally did. I bought the global win WBK38 but i couldn't stand the noise so i replaced the delta fan with the fan that came w/ my cpu (4800 rpm 60 mm fan) and above the cpu (my ps stands vertically leaving open space between my cpu and the top of the case) i punched ventilation holes in the top of my case and placed an 80 mm sunon fan pushing air out. this has given me a quiet and reasonable cooling solution. what i suggest you do is buy one of the better hs, wbk38, alpha or taisol, but w/o a fan and get yourself an inexpensive 60 mm 4800 rpm fan (i believe that is the stock fan on the taisol) but make sure to use your 80 mm's to provide good airflow in your system. if you do that i think you'll find a good livable cooling solution.

my cpu is currently running at 49 degrees w/ my comp on all the time w/ rc5 running in the background.

if you need something better why do they even send the pos that comes with it? it would make sense to make something that would work good in the first place
