Question need help asap....

I have an old computer and i am going to be buying a processor for it....

Well i hooked it up every thing and it turns on but the screen does not sync with the computer.... Is this normal with a computer with no processor? I thought it would have least posted.... Thoughts?

no cpu = NO PIC
U need the cpu and ram and video card to get a pic
